‘Roswell’ Original Cast: Where Are They Now? (2025)

Roswell's legacy still looms large, two decades later.

The series, based on the Roswell High YA books by Melinda Metz, debuted on October 6, 1999. Shiri Appleby, Majandra Delfino, Colin Hanks and Nick Wechsler played high school teens in Roswell, New Mexico, who befriended a trio of teenage alien-human hybrids, played by Katherine Heigl, Jason Behr and Brendon Fehr. Tension ensued as the human teens tried to keep their new friends’ alien origins a secret while a government investigation threatened to expose them all.

The show ran for two seasons on The WB and one on UPN before airing its series finale on May 14, 2002. A Roswell, New Mexico reboot starring Jeanine Mason and Nathan Dean Parsons aired on The CW between 2019 and 2022.

Appleby and Behr both made cameos in the new series but played different characters than their OG Liz and Max.

After her time on Roswell, Appleby starred in the final season of ER and in the short-lived drama Life Unexpected — and guest-starred in Chicago Fire and Girls — before landing the lead role in the Lifetime drama Unreal.

She also directed two episodes of the reboot, Roswell: New Mexico, in 2019 and 2020 and appeared as a guest star on the series in 2022.

She shares two children with her husband, chef Jon Shook.

Behr starred in the horror films The Grudge and Skinwalkers. He also recurred in the A&E drama Breakout Kings and took roles in pilots The Way, Company Man, and Matadors — none of which made it to air. The Minnesota native also appeared in recurring roles during season 2 of Roswell, New Mexico in 2020 and season 6 of Supergirl in 2021.

Behr married actress KaDee Strickland in 2006, later welcoming son Atticus in 2013.

Heigl graduated from Roswell to Grey’s Anatomy, playing Dr. Izzie Stevens in six seasons of the hit ABC drama. She also became a rom-com star in the late 2000s with starring roles in Knocked Up, 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth. In 2021, TV fans fell in love with her all over again when she landed a starring role in Netflix’s Firefly Lane. The series was renewed for a second season in May 2021.

Heigl and her husband, musician Josh Kelley, relocated from California to Utah with kids Naleigh, Adalaide and Joshua.

Delfino’s post-Roswell career includes starring roles on the TV comedies State of Georgia and Friends With Better Lives. She also guest-starred on Boston Public, The Office and Bojack Horseman and reunited with Heigl in the film Life as We Know It.

Fehr had recurring roles on the TV dramas CSI: Miami, Bones and Wynonna Earp and a main role in the NBC medical drama The Night Shift. On the big screen, he had small parts in the blockbusters X-Men: First Class and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Weschler may be best known for his role as Jack Porter on the ABC drama Revenge, a performance that landed him a Teen Choice Award nomination. After recurring on two NBC cop shows — Shades of Blue opposite Jennifer Lopez and Chicago P.D. — he joined the network’s hit drama This Is Usin its fourth season.

In recent years, Sadler has guest-starred on Madam Secretary, Blue Bloods, Power and When They See Us, as well as voicing multiple characters in My Cartoon President. He also played President Matthew Ellis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Iron Man 3 and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Colin, son of Tom Hanks, starred in The Good Guys, Fargo and Life in Pieces on the small screen and Orange County, King Kong and the Jumanji franchise on the big screen.

Colin is married to Samantha Bryant, with whom he shares two daughters.
