Where to find giant eggs in WoW Classic? ›

For anyone having trouble finding these Giant Eggs, a really good place to try farming is in Tanaris at the coordinates /way Tanaris 44.70 40.36 and in any of the surrounding spots that Fire Rocs spawn in nearby.

The Primitive Owlbeasts in The Hinterlands are quite reliable for Giant Eggs. Nearly every single one dropped one for me! (Compared to half an hour killing Rocs in Tanaris and not a single drop.) My favourite place to hunt them is around 28,58 and 46,57.

Giant Egg can be looted from most level 41-60 Beast, and Humanoid monsters, particularly those that fly like Rocs. Your best source for killing these is the Savage Owlbeast in the Hinterlands.

The egg is guarded by 3 level 50 - 51 elite trolls that walk a tight circle around the egg. I soloed this as a level 52 Paladin using engineering to assist me. I rode into Jintha'alor on my mount and ran into the cave. I made it to the room with the egg in the back of the cave before finally dieing.

The eggs can come from a few different places. They're a world spawn, and can be found around the island, and in the Dragonmaw Fortress on the mainland of Shadowmoon Valley. They also drop from all of the creatures on the island. Lastly, they sometimes drop on mining/herbalism nodes.

Finally, these drop off all Netherwing mobs and come off mining/herbalism nodes. The drop rate is only about 1%, but if you farm enough, you might be able to use this to your advantage.

The eggs have a 2 hours respawn timer. Also, for example in the Dragonmaw Fortress, there is always no more than 2 eggs at a time.

Orient the egg so that it lands on the strongest part of the shell. The arch structure at either end of the egg is stronger than its sides. Pressure is distributed down (or up) the arches so that less pressure acts on any one point. Orienting the arch downwards will increase the egg's survival.

Just go east of Aerie Peak, maybe a little southeast, and there are TONS of owlbeasts that drop Giant Eggs.

The Alien Egg can be found sitting outside serpent dens near Freewind Post in Thousand Needles.

You can loot these eggs from nests in the hills behind the Hippogryph but unfortunatly you will recive no pet. At level 44 I gained 4200xp and my Darnassus rep increased by 100. Once you have compleated the quest you get a random egg which you can hand into Curgle Cranklehop.

My best advice so far is to go to Stranglethorn Vale and get it off the raptors, mostly above lvl 30.
